Here are the rules of MOPE:

1. MOPE must be carefully timed:

a. The communication must reach the audience ahead of the competing truth.
b. A MOPE campaign must begin at the optimum moment.
c. A MOPE theme must be repeated, but not beyond some point of diminishing effectiveness

2. MOPE must label events and people with distinctive phrases or slogans such as “gold bugs” and “carry trade.”

a. They must evoke desired responses which the audience previously possessed.
b. They must be easily learned.
c. They must be utilized again and again, but only in appropriate situations.
d. They must be boomerang-proof.

Life is exciting

I like watching movies. By that I mean watching it in cinema and at home. There are a dozen of movies that I’ll watch whenever they are showing on TV. Not from the start to the end but just bits and pieces. I’d like to pick up lines that I find it interesting.

From the movie “Cast Away”, I learnt from Tom Hanks that “you have to keep breathing because you’ll never know what life is going to bring you tomorrow.” This is how he stayed away from going insane and finally received a wing-like metal door which allowed him to use it as flag.

Another one that I recently picked up is from “Rocky Balboa”. Rocky said “Life is not about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard the punches you can take and still keep moving.” Wow! Simple thought but so many people have forgotten about this sort of simple thought. I certainly need it!

So your birth is a not a choice to you. But life is full of choices (subject to your character & personalities). All you have to do is to keep breathing, and you will have your way. Hope is certainly one of the greatest virtues. But that’s not enough. In worst times, you have to take punches, but still stand up and keep moving! That’s brave! That’s time when one shows they have the character or not.
